What does the Heart & Lung Scan include?
Our LDCT Heart and Lung scan includes a comprehensive radiologist review of heart images, a coronary calcium score, plus a detailed radiology report of your chest. If there are any findings of concern you will receive a phone call consultation with one of our Doctors. Scans will be read by our in-house Board Certified Radiology Team and results will be received within 48 hours.
What can a Heart & Lung Scan Detect?
Using high-resolution, low-dose CT imaging, our scans are capable of locating abnormalities as small as a grain of rice. This is key for identifying early stage lung cancers, along with emphysema, tuberculosis and other types of tumors or lesions. Heart issues such as heart disease, heart attack, stroke risk, and the status of the pericardium, heart valves, and heart size will also be screened in this scan.
